PVI Student Places in Regional Debate
On Saturday, February 7, 2026, St. Paul VI Catholic High School student Om Khatadia ’29 finished 1st place at the National Speech & Debate Association Virginia District Tournament in the Lincoln-Douglas format.
Om is a first-year competitor at the National Speech & Debate Association Virginia District Tournament as a 9th grader among a pool of over 60 teams (9th-12th graders) from across Virginia, an impressive accomplishment as a one-man team!
Om Khatadia ’29 also represented the school in the Washington Arlington Speech & Debate League (WASDL) regional debate tournament on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
Om earned 2nd place in the Novice division of the Lincoln-Douglas event with an impressive 4-0 record and scored the second-highest number of speaker points in his event. Among over 100 Novice debaters from area high schools, Om stood out, showcasing skill, poise, and dedication. Paul VI proud of Om's achievement and the hard work he has put into his debate journey.
