Mission Trips

The Paul VI community extends beyond Northern Virginia. Wherever people are in need, we serve.
We arrive ready to pick up a hammer and build, or work the soil with our hands, or play a game with the local children. We listen to our hosts and then step in to serve.

We believe that helping others is essential to Grow in Grace and Wisdom. Our Missions and Pilgrimages are not simply an experience or an adventure, they are transformative. A mission leads us to question how God is working in us and helps us to discover how God is calling us into His world to serve and to love as Christ. Pilgrimages really ask a lot of us physically, emotionally, and spiritually. These journeys reflect an interior sojourn and have a rich history, spanning all the way back to the Old Testament. A pilgrimage is a journey to the heart of the Father. In recent years, more than 500 students have traveled both in the United States and abroad to focus on serving communities in need.

Visiting sacred places brings our faith to life and connects us deeply to our traditions. Our students and faculty have made pilgrimages to beautiful and revered sites around the world, including trips to the Vatican, Italy, France, Ireland, and the California Mission Trail.
Paul VI has served at the following locations:
  • Bánica, Dominican Republic
  • Camden, NJ at DeSales Service Works
  • Cuilapa, Guatemala at Hogar de la Niña
  • Belize
  • St. Lucia
  • Appalachia, WV
  • Center Point, WV
  • Colonial Beach, VA
  • Kilmarnock, VA
  • Lexington, KY
  • Steubenville, OH
