Through athletics, students learn the value of teamwork, competition, and hard work, as well as how to deal with failure and adversity.
Participation in extracurricular activities is a privilege, not a right. Students who successfully meet the school’s academic requirements and adhere to the code of conduct may participate in extracurricular activities.
ADMISSION TO BASKETBALL GAMES There are no tickets for entry to basketball games. The cost is $5 for admission. The basketball teams will take cash or debit/credit cards at the door.
Since 2010, the Panthers have played in over 75 conference or state finals and won over 50 WCAC or VISAA Championships.
More than 20 student-athletes usually commit to play college sports each year.
General Info
Prior to athletic participation (preseason workout, clinic or sport), all students must have a completed VHSL physical examination. The physical is required for each school year and must be completed on or after May 1 of the current school year and are valid until the following June. It is recommended that all health forms and requirements be uploaded by July 1 at www.pvisports.net - Click Online Registration.
Students with more than one failing grade in any class or a grade point average below 2.0 are not eligible. Eligibility is restored after the mid-point of the quarter if the GPA and grade requirements have been remedied.
