  • ASSISTANT TO ADMINISTRATORS/SUBSTITUTE TEACHER COORDINATOR

    St. Paul VI Catholic High School is seeking a full-time team member for the 2020-2021 school year at our new campus in Chantilly, Virginia.  This person schedules and coordinates substitute teachers on a daily basis and assists administrators with projects throughout the day.  In addition, this person supports the Receptionist and the Student Attendance Coordinator.

    The Administrative Assistant must be a flexible, patient, Christ-like individual who is a team player and is able to work in a fast-paced, clutter-free setting with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

    This is a 12-month position with hours of 6:30 am to 2:30 pm during schools days, 8 am to 2 pm in the summer.

  • BIOLOGY/CHEMISTRY TEACHER (FULL TIME)

    St. Paul VI Catholic High School is seeking a full-time Science teacher for the 2020-2021 school year at our new campus in Chantilly, Virginia. Candidates should be able to teach High School Biology and Chemistry courses.

    We have a one-to-one laptop program that integrates technology into teaching and learning with teachers and students using laptops on a daily basis in the classroom. 
    Applicants must be willing to teach in this integrated technology classroom environment.

    We seek applicants with a degree in biology or chemistry. 
    A Virginia teaching license in biology or chemistry is preferred.

  • CAMPAIGN ASSISTANT (STAFF, FULL TIME)

    As a member of the Advancement team, the Campaign Assistant reports directly to the Director of Advancement and provides assistance for developing and implementing the campaign for the new campus for St. Paul VI Catholic High School. This 40 hours/week, temporary position, is currently projected to continue until June 30, 2021. The Campaign Assistant will provide necessary administrative support to the Director of Advancement, Head of School and Campaign Cabinet. He/she will conduct research for campaign prospects and prepare summary reports. The Assistant will enter all new constituent data into Raiser’s Edge. He/she will support the Advancement team in the coordination and supervision of campaign-related events, assist with writing and publishing a campaign e-newsletter for volunteers and donors, and manage the public phase activities (buy-a-brick, donor recognition and signage, etc.)
     
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Bachelor’s degree required plus one to two years of demonstrated, professional experience and increased responsibility for a nonprofit organization, preferably a Catholic or independent school or in higher education.
    2. Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office products (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and database programs. Proficiency with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge, Target Analytics and Blackbaud’s On products highly desirable.
    3. Excellent written communication skills including persuasive letters, miscellaneous correspondence, timelines, and reports.
    4. Strong research and analytic skills including internet search capabilities.
    5. Extraordinary attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills with ability to maintain effectiveness in a busy office setting and willingness to function as a team player.
    6. Experience supporting and managing volunteers.
    7. Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects and work assignments.
    8. Creative, self-motivated, innovative thinker with ability to develop and incorporate new ideas.
    9. Ability to set goals and achieve success in a disciplined, time-sensitive way.
    10. Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgment in all situations.
    11. High-level, infectious enthusiasm to communicate the mission and philanthropic needs of Paul VI and to inspire giving across all constituencies.
    12. Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as warranted by meetings, events, or other department needs.
    13. Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
    14. Prior campaign experience a plus. 
     
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    1. Serves as the primary research officer for the department, conducting donor research, preparing profiles of donors and prospects and identifying future prospects to contribute to the school’s campaign using various research tools including Target Analytics, internet research databases and print publications.
    2. Manages and tracks metrics for stewardship/moves management initiatives.
    3. Prepares prospect briefings for the Head of School, Director of Advancement and members of the Campaign Cabinet, as well as bios and related documentation as necessary.
    4. Provides necessary administrative support to the Director of Advancement, Campaign Chairperson(s) and other members of the Campaign Cabinet.
    5. Coordinates logistics for all Campaign Cabinet meetings and other campaign activities including scheduling rooms; making parking and audiovisual arrangements; ordering refreshments; and preparing agendas, talking points and other reports. Takes, prepares and distributes minutes following Campaign Cabinet meetings.
    6. Assists Campaign Cabinet, Director of Advancement and Head of School by scheduling appointments and arranging travel to meet with campaign prospects.
    7. Answers general correspondence and phone calls related to campaign and/or ensures follow up by Director of Advancement.
    8. Coordinates and manages all details for special events related to the campaign.
    9. Prepares and provides the Director of Advancement, Head of School and members of the Campaign Cabinet with mailing lists, campaign reports, statistical analyses and other material as needed.
    10. Works with the fundraising counsel to ensure that deadlines are met and the campaign is proceeding according to the timeline.
    11. Manages and tracks the campaign budget to ensure correct tracking of expenses.
    12. Enters all new constituent data into Raiser’s Edge following department guidelines.
    13. In conjunction with the Advancement Assistant, tracks and generates pledge reminders and acknowledgment letters for the campaign.
    14. Coordinates, helps to write and publishes campaign e-newsletter for volunteers and donors.
    15. Coordinates, helps to write and maintains campaign webpages.
    16. Oversees and coordinates donor recognition including tracking named gift opportunities.
    17. Assists Advancement Department with other projects and events. Some of these events take place in the evenings and/or on weekends.
    18. Assists the Director of Annual Giving with the annual wealth screening process and analyzes top 100-200 prospects.
    19. Completes other duties as requested to support the projects and goals of the Advancement Department.

  • FACILITIES/MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (STAFF, FULL TIME)

    Provides maintenance for school buildings and grounds, including semi-skilled carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting and other minor repair work. Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems. Conducts preventative maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, and filter changes. Work may include moving, pruning, and ice and snow removal with grounds equipment. Other duties as determined by the Director of Facilities.

  • FOOD SERVICE DIRECTOR/CHEF (FULL TIME)

    St. Paul VI Catholic High School is seeking a full-time Food Services Director/Chef for the 2020-2021 school year at our new campus in Chantilly, Virginia.
     
    Reports to: CFO

    Position:
      Exempt – Full Time

    JOB DESCRIPTION:  Food Service Director/Chef will be responsible for oversight and management of the kitchen and kitchen staff.  Responsibilities include training staff, coordinating serving schedules, ordering supplies, maintaining food preparation equipment and kitchen area, and meal preparation and planning.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    :
    The qualified candidate will possess any combination of experience and training that provide the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: 
     
    1.       Prior experience managing a school kitchen and staff
    2.       Experience creating/planning/executing menus
    3.       Ability to prepare food from basic recipes
    4.       Ability to operate kitchen equipment including but not limited to:  oven, stove, warmers, mixers, meat slicer, pizza oven
    5.       Previous experience following sanitation and safety regulations and ensure staff compliance with sanitation standards
    6.       Ability to establish and maintain courteous and effective working relationships with students, staff, and others
    7.       Possess knowledge of food preparation and the functional operation of a school kitchen
    8.       Possess knowledge of basic kitchen routines and cleanliness requirements. 

    Work may involve food preparation, care and cleaning of kitchen facilities and equipment, serving food, cashiering, and dishwashing.

    He/she will communicate with students, staff, and others to obtain feedback on food service.
     
    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:  Culinary degree or certificate (preferred); Food Service Manager License (required); Virtus Compliant (required/ability to obtain); knowledge of Roman Catholic Faith to adhere to Church doctrines (preferred)

  • LIBRARY ASSISTANT (30 HRS, 10AM-4PM DAILY)

    St. Paul VI Catholic High School is seeking a full time, 30 hours/week Library Assistant for the 2020-2021 school year at our new campus in Chantilly, Virginia.  Hours are 10 am – 4 pm, Monday – Friday.  Assist the librarian with clerical duties such as ordering, processing, and cataloging new resource materials, circulation, inventory, shelving, and weeding; assist students and faculty with reference inquiries and use of the photocopier; handle overdue notices; oversee faculty journal distribution service; supervise after school study hall and track NHS tutoring hours.  Most importantly – must have a cheerful and helpful attitude and enjoy talking to students and faculty, especially about books and research.

  • PHYSICS TEACHER (FULL TIME)

    St. Paul VI Catholic High School is seeking a full-time Physics teacher for the 2020-2021 school year at our new campus in Chantilly, Virginia. Candidates should be able to teach High School college preparatory Physics, Honors Physics, AP Physics 1: Algebra-Based, and AP Physics 2:-Algebra Based. The ability and willingness to eventually teach Engineering courses is a plus.

  • RECEPTIONIST (10 OR 12 MONTH POSITION)

    St. Paul VI Catholic High School is seeking a full-time Receptionist for the 2020-2021 school year at our new campus in Chantilly, Virginia.  The Receptionist welcomes, checks-in, and directs all visitors as well as answers phone calls and transfers calls to the appropriate departments.  The Receptionist must be a flexible, patient, Christ-like individual who is able to work in a fast-paced, clutter-free setting with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

    There is an option for this position to be 10 months long while school is in session with summer months off or 12 months long.

    St. Paul VI Catholic High School seeks a dynamic, organized, and dedicated high school counselor. School Counselors deliver a full range of student services to include academic and personal advisement and college and career counseling. The candidate must be able to positively engage students, parents, and faculty members in delivering services.

    The candidate must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.

    Ideal candidates will have a Master's degree in counselor education and must hold or be eligible for Virginia licensure. Experience in college admissions a plus.
