PVI Student Completes Public Health Youth Ambassador Program
Kristina has completed the program in partnership with the Fairfax County Health Department, Morehouse School of Medicine, and George Mason University's College of Public Health. She commented, "The PHYAP program really helped me to develop many valuable skills, while also teaching me more about how to serve and give back to my community in a way that really makes a difference!"
PHYAP trains high school students in critical public health areas, including opioid use reduction, teen mental health awareness, and Community Health Work, giving students hands-on experience and real career pathways in healthcare.
We're so proud of Kristina for representing PVI and investing her time in making our community healthier.
