A PVI Student's Entrepreneurial Journey

Brandon Bucukoglu ’28 and a friend were featured in Belmont Neighbors magazine this summer for starting Oakmont Home Services, LLC, a professional junk removal and home services company built on simple goals: working hard, learning as much as they can, and providing a service people can rely on.
Brandon states, "Starting a business at 16 has taught me lessons I don’t think you can learn in a classroom. Every customer, every job, and every challenge has helped us become better not just as business owners, but as people. One thing I’ve learned is that customers remember more than the work you do. They remember whether you showed up on time, communicated well, treated them with respect, and kept your word. That’s the reputation we’re working to build."

The article noted that they found special purpose in helping senior citizens with projects that have become difficult to tackle alone. Brandon hopes the company will continue to grow, create jobs, and one day become an enduring business that serves the community for years to come.
