48 Award in Honor of Coach Ciatti
Danny Ciatti ’89, Mike Ciatti ’88, and Cara Ciatti Hardin ’91 pose with 48 Award recipient Chris Barrie ’26. The 48 Award is a memorial scholarship established in honor of the late Paul Ciatti, a former PVI baseball coach and substitute teacher.
Coach Ciatti wore jersey #48 as a coach. The 48 Award was presented for the first time this year and will be awarded annually to a graduating senior. On Thursday, April 30, 2026, Chris was recognized as an honor roll student-athlete and selfless teammate. He will attend George Washington University.
Paul Ciatti was an active member of the PVI community, helping it grow and thrive in the 1980s and 1990s. There was no project too big or too small for Paul and his wife, Nancy, to pitch in and help a school they loved, and they were rewarded with lifelong friendships and memories. As a result of their efforts, Paul and Nancy were inducted into the Paul VI Athletic Hall of Fame in 2020.
