PVI Boys Basketball Wins the VISAA Championship

On Saturday, February 28, 2026, the Varsity Boys Basketball team beat Bishop O'Connell 62–52 to become the 2026 VISAA Division I State Champions.
Saturday night brought a highly anticipated showdown against cross-town rival Bishop O’Connell in the VISAA Division I State Championship. After trailing at halftime, the Panthers responded with poise and aggression. Their defensive pressure intensified, offensive execution sharpened, and momentum shifted decisively in the second half.

What a week for Panther Basketball. In a remarkable six-day stretch, Paul VI secured two championships — the WCAC Championship and the VISAA Division I State Championship — capping off an unforgettable postseason run defined by defensive intensity, resilience, and championship poise.
