PVI Senior Awarded Student of the Year

On December 11, 2025, Roy Wulf ’26 was honored as Student of the Year (high school category) by George Washington’s Mount Vernon.
The Mount Vernon Prize for Excellence in Civics and History, awarded in honor of Dr. Jennifer London, recognized Roy for his creation of the PVI Fife & Drum Corps — a musical unit that pays tribute to George Washington’s European allies during the American Revolution.

The award includes a scholarship prize, a bust of George Washington, and a candlelight tour of Mount Vernon. Roy is grateful to Mrs. Jan Siegfried, PVI Instrumental Music Director, for nominating him for this distinguished honor.

The PVI Fife & Drum Corps will march in the George Washington Birthday Parade in Alexandria on February 14, 2026, and perform at the Fairfax Fife & Drum Muster on April 26, 2026. The corps will also participate in numerous America 250 events throughout the year.
