Canned Food Drive 2020

The need for food is greater than ever! The annual PVI Food Drive supports Food for Others, a local food bank we've partnered with for over 15 years. We are inviting and encouraging all families to contribute to this year's food drive. The main purpose is the help the need in our area!
To help drive up numbers and to show school spirit, each advisory takes part in a friendly competition. In order for your advisory to get credit for your donation, students must check in with a Student Government member at drop off.
Donations will be collected each morning from 7:15 a.m. - 7:40 a.m. in Parking Lot 3. (This is the parking lot near the football stadium). If you have a large donation we ask that you pull over near the collection area so you don't hold up the carpool line. This is the collection site for both students being dropped off in carpool and upperclassmen who drive.
In years past PVI has supported the Power Pack Program run by Food for Others, providing food for children on the free and reduced lunch program. They have once again asked for our help with that. The specific items that they have requested will be worth double/triple points for the advisory competition (see the calendar below). Remember our main purpose is to help those in need, but we can have fun while doing it! Advisories will get credit for all nonperishable food items that are donated. Our goal is 100% student participation! We appreciate your support. Please email Mrs. Tinsley with any questions.
