Girls Track & Field Wins Virginia State Catholic Championship Meet
Congratulations to the PVI Track & Field team for an excellent performance at the Virginia State Catholic Championship Meet! PVI hosted the meet on our home track Saturday, May 10.
With nine other Catholic schools from Virginia in attendance, the Panthers came together as a team to pull off an incredible upset win for the girls and finish runner-up for the boys, as well as many top individual performances, including a new school record!
The PVI girls team are the Virginia State Catholic Champions! Coming in as the underdogs at this meet, all the girls contributed to this win, put in the hard work, and dug deep to give it their best when it counted the most. Your coaches are very proud of you!

The relay teams were amazing with the 4x100m relay of Samantha Bentley, Claire Curtze, Brooklynn Stratford, and Avery Dickens finishing 2nd overall. The 4x800m relay team of Danielle Fransella, Lilly Wahl, Nisha Downey, and Chloe Rakowitz finished in 3rd, and the 4x400m relay featuring Chloe Rakowitz, Elliana Taddeo, Samantha Bentley, and Kathia Kouami ran an incredible race, with a season PR of 4:18 and a second-place finish! Congratulations to Claire Curtze, Brooklynn Stratford, Kayleigh Clements, Elliana Babbit, Nile Lewis, Ava Thompson, Audrey Culipher, Mischa Cho, and Kelsa Boodlal for great performances in their individual events.
