Cleaning Protocols

We have further enhanced our cleaning protocols. The procedures discussed below will prevent the spread of bacteria, mold, fungi, and viruses, including the coronavirus.
  • PVI has added another day time janitor for a total of four to continuously clean and disinfect all high-touch points, including door handles, handrails, tables, restrooms, etc.
  • We have added nightly whole-building disinfection of both the academic and athletic buildings using an EPA and CDC approved disinfectant and "electrostatic" sprayers.
  • Students and teachers will use the first 5 minutes of each class to disinfect their work areas using disinfectant wipes or spray that will be available in each classroom

  • PVI will be applying an antimicrobial "sealant" to all surfaces. These sealants are approved by the EPA/CDC and offer long term resistance to disease causing organisms.

  • To ensure our efforts are effective, we have also purchased test equipment that will inform us of the presence of any living organism, such as bacteria or viruses, on a surface.
These cleaning protocols, along with everyone wearing masks, washing hands, using hand sanitizer, practicing social distancing and avoiding coming to the building if sick, will help to provide a healthy environment for all our students, staff, faculty and visitors.
