Pep Band Brings the Energy at Army 10 Miler

"The Panther Pride,” the Paul VI Pep Band, performed as “The Official High School Band” for this year’s ARMY 10-miler this past Sunday, October 10.
This is the 33rd year for The ARMY 10-miler, the largest 10-mile race in the Western Hemisphere, a race that is a qualifier for Olympic trials, drawing Olympic hopefuls from all over the world.

This year drew 35,000 runners to the Nation’s Capitol and reached tens of thousands of Americans stationed abroad with simulcast video-feeds and concurrent races, and PVI had 60 musicians performing at the 7-mile point to the passing runners.

Bystanders reported that the band could be heard as far as 3 blocks away with rousing renditions of ”The Hey Song,” “Rocky,” and “Summon The Heroes.”  Way to go, Band!
