Habemus Papam! We have a Pope!
On Thursday, May 8, 2025, PVI celebrated the announcement of Pope Leo XIV.
At 6:09 p.m., Rome time, white smoke rose from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel, signaling that the College of Cardinals had chosen a new pope. Faculty, staff and students at PVI participated in papal watch parties.
