No. 1 Paul VI Cements its Status

Two months into the boys’ basketball season, the Paul VI Panthers have shown a penchant for anticlimax.
The area’s No. 1 team has played a series of highly anticipated local games, starting with an early-season meeting with Sidwell Friends and continuing last week with hugely important Washington Catholic Athletic Conference games against Gonzaga and Bishop O’Connell. Each game generated a fair amount of buzz as local hoops fans grew eager to see the Panthers challenged.
