With nearly 60 different clubs and activities, PVI students have every opportunity to become the confident, well-rounded leaders they are called to be.

  • Spiritual

    Campus Ministry Team
    Promotes our faith community through liturgy, retreats, and numerous service projects
     
    Catholic Athletes for Christ
    A chance for members of various athletic teams to join together in prayer and service
     
    Liturgical Musicians
    Singers and instrumentalists lead the assembly in song at school-wide Mass and during other opportunities to share their God-given talents.
     
    Salesian Spirituality
    Promotes the teachings of our school’s patron saint, St. Francis de Sales

    Fosters friendship, understanding, and acceptance among students in the Options program and students from the general education population
     
    Peer Mentoring
    Fosters interpersonal skills, compassion, and advocacy skills for both students with intellectual disabilities as well as their peer mentor; peer mentoring is a co-curricular service opportunity
     
    Panthers for Life
    The student-led Pro-Life movement at Paul VI

    Provides activities to develop interest in Asian culture and promotes camaraderie among students in Chinese classes
     
    Computer Competitions Club
    Enhances knowledge of computer hardware and software

    German Club

    Junior Classical League
    Provides activities to develop interest in classical studies and promotes camaraderie among student in Latin classes

    Challenges students to work on more complex math problems and compete with other students in Fairfax County schools
     
    Senior Math League
    Challenges students to work on more complex math problems from upper level math and compete with other students in Fairfax County schools
     
    Spanish Club
    Provides activities to develop interest in Hispanic cultural heritage and promotes camaraderie among students in Spanish classes

    Big Brothers/Big Sisters
    Representatives from each Advisory help current and new students adjust to life at PVI and get involved so that every student has a remarkable high school experience

    Make a difference in our school through a chain reaction of kindness and compassion as taught by Rachel Scott.
     
    Student Ambassadors
    Official representatives and spokespersons for Paul VI at school and community events
     
    Student Government Association
    Governs and represents the student body on issues of school policy and academics; organizes and oversees many of our school events
  • Special Interests

    Cappies
    PVI’s chapter of the international program that recognizes, celebrates, and provides learning experiences for high school theater and journalism students with teenage playwrights; membership is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors
     
    Chess Club
    Students play chess in a social setting while building a competitive team
     
    Cooking Club
    Students learn basic kitchen skills through hands-on activities—and, of course, enjoy the snacks and treats they make
     
    Debate Club
    Promotes self-confidence as members learn to research, work as a team, and formulate arguments; students have opportunities to compete regionally (not required to compete to be a member of the club)
     
    FYI-PVI
    Produces morning video announcements
     
    Gaming Club
    Students socialize and interact with one another while playing various gaming systems
     
    Guitar Club
    Students interested in playing electric and acoustic guitar are welcome and skill level is not emphasized
     
    IMPROV
    The PVI IMPROV team makes it up as they go along.
     
    Intramural Sports
    Allows students to experience structured and enjoyable team competition
     
    Model Judiciary
    Increases awareness of our judicial process and allows students to compete as trial attorneys on the local and state level
     
    Model United Nations
    Increases awareness of the process and purpose of the United Nations and allows students to compete in mock UN hearings with other schools
     
    Pink & White Club
    Open to all girls at PVI; serves as an informal setting for sharing and discussing a variety of topics and to encourage one another in positive relationships and attitudes, and in becoming women of character, integrity and purity.
     
    PVI Players
    Promotes theater arts within the school and to the local community
     
    Reading in the Movies
    Combines the best of two worlds, the written word and motion pictures based on books
     
    Scrub Club
    A club for students who are interested in having a career in healthcare
     
    VI Man Spirit Club
    Promotes school spirit by supporting athletic teams and other school activities
     
    Young Politicians
    A gathering of students across the political spectrum, this club allows members to discuss current political events and stances honestly and respectfully

Paul VI Catholic High School is a private college preparatory school for girls and boys in grades 9-12 in Fairfax, Virginia, seeking to help our students Grow in Grace and Wisdom. Our Washington area prep school is part of the Diocese of Arlington and offers rigorous academics, an inclusive community focused on spiritual and leadership formation, and a proud athletic tradition featuring competitive Division I high school athletics in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference.
