The AP Program offers several awards to recognize high school students who have demonstrated college-level achievement through AP courses and exams.
The AP awards have recently been announced for the 2017-2018 school year. Paul VI is proud of its 49 AP Scholars, 26 AP Scholars with Honor, 27 AP Scholars with Distinction and 6 National AP Scholars.
The designation of AP Scholar was granted to students who received a score of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams. AP Scholars with Distinction are students who received an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams and include Oliva Aponte, Nicolas Bocock, Julie Burkhardt, Sarah D'Esopo, Makaela Edmonds, Megan Harder, Catherine Hebert, Liam Hollen, Daniel Jacobs, Samantha Kelly, Catherine Kim, Cecilia Klimon, Gavin Kline, Seung Yun Lee, Daniel Malinowski, Chloe Martin, Aidan McCarthy, Margaret Mitchell, Joseph Paquette, Theresa Sheehan, Grace Smith, Noah Strike, David Topping, Jack Vance, Lauren Vannell, Devon Zavacky, and Matthew Zielezienski.
Nicolas Bocock, Sarah D'Esopo, Daniel Jacobs, Samantha Kelly, Seung Yun Lee and Theresa Sheehan were named National AP Scholars for receiving an average score of 4 on all AP exams taken and scores of 4 or higher on 8 or more exams.
