Congratulations to our 95 AP Scholars
The AP Program offers several AP Scholar Awards to recognize high school students who have demonstrated college-level achievement through AP courses and exams. Paul VI is proud of its 95 AP Scholars, which were recently announced for AP tests taken at the end of the 2016-2017 school year.
Paul VI Catholic High School had 95 total AP Scholars: 42 AP Scholars, 21 AP Scholars with Honor, 32 AP Scholars with Distinction and 9 National AP Scholars.
Vernon Andrade ‘17, Benjamin Barrett ‘17, Ryan Brogley ‘17, Andrew Conley ‘17, Landon Labuskes ‘17, Simon Lee ‘18, Allison Potter ‘17, Thomas Sheehan ‘17 and Allison Zammit ‘17 were named National AP Scholars for receiving an average score of 4 on all AP exams taken and scores of 4 or higher on 8 or more exams.
PVI had 42 AP Scholars. The designation of AP Scholar was granted to students who received a score of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams
PVI had 21 AP Scholars with Honor. The designation of AP Scholar with Honor is granted to students who received an average of 3.25 on all AP Exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
PVI had 32 AP Scholars with Distinction. AP Scholars with Distinction are students who received an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
Average AP scores of PVI students have exceeded the averages of Fairfax County Public High Schools in each of the last 5 years. Congratulations to all!
