Welcome to Cross Country
Congratulations State Catholic Champs 2012!

Cross Country opened up its championship season by sweeping the boy and girls titles at the State Catholic Championships.
The day opened with the combined JV races. Jack Winkert, Nick Meyer, George Litman, Thomas Beahn, Anna Scott, Rachel Dinger, Kayla Vogel, and Jordan Kijewski all earned medals by finishing in the top 10 of their respective races.
In the Varsity Girls race, Bishop Ireton opened up an early lead on the first lap of the two loop course, but using strong pack running, the Panthers clawed back on the second lap to win convincingly 43-52. Caroline Rosini, Megan Turcol, Katie Bucaro, Theresa Neubig, Catey Susco, Julia Danisewicz, and Alaina Patrick made the All-State Catholic Team by placing in the top 15. In a testament to overall team depth, the Panthers put 8 runners in front of every other team's 4th runner.
In the Varsity Boys race, Bishop Ireton used the same tactics and again the Panthers came back strong in the second half of the race to win with 49 points. The Panthers were led by All-State Catholic runners Andy Stepka, Matt Kocis, Trey Mastaler, Jack Danisewicz, and Aaron Skouby. In another impressive display of depth, the Panthers took 9 of the top 23 overall spots.
