PAUL VI CAMPUS MINISTRY
NEWS AND UPDATES
"Grow in Grace and Wisdom" - St. Francis de Sales
All students are urged to join us on Tuesday, April 23rd after school at 3pm to make Fairfax City aware that PVI does not want a new ABORTION CLINIC in our Backyard! Sadly this Abortion Clinic is scheduled to open in July right off of Main Street (at the corner of Kirk and Main in Fairfax). Students please see Mrs. Slocum in the math department or stop by Campus Ministry for a permission form. We will meet in the Campus Ministry office at 2:45pm to make some posters. At 3:15pm we'll walk the few blocks to the facility location. Our plan is to pray and stand in solidarity letting Fairfax decision makers aware that we do not want this Abortion Clinic to open. Teachers, parents, and friends are encouraged to join us.

The primary purpose of Paul VI Catholic High School is to foster student growth in the knowledge and practice of the faith. This growth is nurtured mentally, physically and spiritually:
- Mentally, through the study of the teachings of the Church as well as familiarity with the Gospel
- Physically, through the encouragement to be living witnesses to the true Christian life
- Spiritually, through the celebration of the sacraments, especially Eucharist and Reconciliation
The Campus Ministry Program organizes these communal celebrations of the sacraments, as well as ensures that mass is offered twice daily for those students, faculty and staff who wish to attend. In addition, Campus Ministry organizes and conducts a series of retreats throughout the year, and coordinates prayer services, talks, and chapel visits for the benefit of the school community and is focused on fostering a school community that prays. The chaplain and ministry team are available at all times to provide pastoral guidance for the students and entire Paul VI community.
“Be who you are and to be that well.”
Campus Ministry Team
The Campus Ministry Team (CMT) plans and facilitates Masses, Prayer Services, Retreats, our Annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and other Paul VI faith community events. Their primary focus as a student peer ministry group is to live and promote the Christian life through prayer, awareness and opportunities for response to identified needs of the school, local, or global community. We strive to be “Servant Leaders.”
