PVI Athletic Boosters Club Team Representatives
In order to help execute our mission, PVI ABC identifies team representatives from parents of all athletic teams (at all levels) to represent their player’s team to the ABC. These volunteers are vital to our success and integral to the success of our partnership with the PVI sport teams. We have listed below the duties of this “Team Rep”. Each Team Rep must understand that we are not asking that you personally do each of these duties, but that you are accountable to make sure that someone does them. If you commit to doing this, the PVI ABC will be able to provide consistent support and coverage to all of our PVI sport teams, student-athletes and coaches.
PVI Athletic Boosters Club (PVI ABC) Team Representative Duties:
Regularly attend PVI ABC monthly meetings to represent your PVI sports team. This team representative must be a voting PVI ABC member in good standing.
Canvas sport team parents to solicit:
- Membership – actively recruit parents to join the PVI ABC from team parents.
- Volunteers for activities – actively participate in the “Call for Volunteers”, when requested.
- Coordinate team overall ABC fund-raising activity – such as, “Baskets for Casino Night”, etc.
- Coordinate snack bar (Panther Paws) coverage and prepare schedules for applicable sports – Team reps might have to schedule the workers and make sure they show up. (This only applies to teams playing at school on-campus facilities).
- Act as an information conduit from PVI ABC to their team parents – whenever information is available that needs to get out….
- Represent the particular needs of their respective sport to the PVI ABC.
- Maintain an updated comprehensive parent’s distribution mailing (e-Mail) list for the complete team sports program, as well as individual teams lists (including Varsity, JV & Freshman).
- Act as an ambassador for our sports program in general and for the PVI ABC specifically.
- Provide PVI ABC Sports Team budgets to their head coach.
- Conduct succession planning for team representative(s). (A representative’s new term begins after the sports season ends, example - football is played in the Fall, so if the rep has a senior player, that rep needs to recruit a new representative to start in the winter).
- Provide the PVI ABC with a list of all team members and pictures for the “Sports Award Night’s” program.
- Provide news stories and photographs of their teams to be posted on the PVI ABC web site and for inclusion in periodic newsletters.
- Post team information, news and stats onto the Sports Combine web site. " >
- Assist in the coordination and planning of the individual team “Senior Night”.
